Sydney Authors Inked is a group of authors based in Sydney, while most of us are self-published, a few have been traditionally published.
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting #free #author #talks at The Little Big House in Summer Hill, Sydney. During each event, two authors will discuss their books, writing and publishing, and their author journey.
Sydney Authors Inked - A Writer's Journey.
These talks will be educational as well as social. Come along, meet other like-minded people, and enjoy our authors talking about their stories. Every author's journey is unique and you will learn fascinating tips to help you with your own writing journey.
Our first event is on Sunday 10 September 2023 from 10 am to 12 noon at The Little Big House, 16 Flour Mill Way, Summer Hill. Tickets will be available on Humanitix and we recommend you register on 2 August 2023 when they become available as they are limited.
The first two authors speaking will be -
Maria P Frino - talking about 'Publishing with Amazon and Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), the Pros and Cons'.
Conchita GarSantiago will share her 'Writing Journey'.
Sydney Authors Inked is a collective of local authors who want to give back to those who aspire to be writers. At these events, they will impart some of their knowledge of publishing, which can be both brilliant for some and unfavourable for others. We're here to help you navigate the sometimes slippery slope that is the publishing industry.
The committee members are -
Maria P Frino
Conchita GarSantiago
Ross Venner
Jim Lemon
Adelaide Hunter
Anna Ceguerra
The event after our first one will be on Sunday 12 November and we are hoping to have monthly events beginning from February 2024. We hope to entertain and teach while making new friends along the way. These events are for anyone interested in books, reading, writing, wanting to learn how to self-publish, or wanting to meet people with similar interests.
Authors who speak at each event will have their books available for sale and will sign them on the day if you wish. A light morning tea may be served as well.
There will be opportunities for other authors to speak at these events, so if you have a story to tell about your own writing journey or have writing tips, email us at sydneyauthorsinked@gmail.com
Surprise special guests will pop up from time to time too. We are pleased to bring these events to you and hope they will be informative and fun for all who attend.
Happy reading (and learning),
Maria P Frino
